Feed the Hungry, Care for the Sick, Welcome the Neighbor: How Federal Budget Changes are Impacting Wisconsin Communities

The news has been filled with stories of federal cuts in HR 1 (sometimes called the “Big Beautiful Bill”), shifting policies around grants, executive orders, and a myriad of other changes in how our government operates. Amid the chaos and rapid pace of change, many are left wondering how people in our local communities are affected, especially the most vulnerable.

The Center for Nonprofit Studies (CommNS) at UW Madison has been compiling research on the local impacts of these policy changes here in Wisconsin. Join CommNS Executive Director Mary Beth Collins on July 29th at 2:00pm on Zoom to learn about what their research is showing and what that means for local nonprofits and churches as we seek to care for our neighbors.

Those who register will be sent the Zoom link in advance and will have the recording sent directly to them within a week after the webinar.
