Beyond Protesting: Working Together FOR Something

As people of faith continue to show up in public actions across the state, many are asking how to build towards change. Join us for May’s Taking a Faithful Stand webinar to learn about concrete actions you can take on the local level to feed the hungry, care for the sick, and welcome the neighbor. This will include presentations about organizing against 287g agreements (ICE and law enforcement collaboration), 4th amendment workplace/business organizing, and county board-level organizing for rural and urban communities.

Speakers
4th Amendment Workplaces - All In Wisconsin staff

287g Agreements - Kole Torres, League of Women Voters

Cities - Pr. Marilyn Miller, WISDOM

  • About All In Wisconsin:
All In Wisconsin is the organization at the forefront of community power in Wisconsin. What began as our state's narrative framework hub has grown into the engine that powers the movement from Kenosha to Superior by building a system grounded in shared identity, common values, and collective struggles. They are the architects of Wisconsin's narrative, the catalyst for its organizing future, and the safe harbor for its communities fighting for freedom, safety, justice, and joy.

    Kyle Johnson:
Kyle Johnson serves as the Community Resilience Director, where he is focused on organizing local communities to develop strategic campaigns, build security culture, and realize self-actualization. His lived experiences as a Black Queer man have informed his work and leadership style with a strong commitment to engage and empower those at the periphery. With 8 years of experience spanning across organizing, civic engagement, and movement communications, Kyle is committed to ensuring the preparation of our communities and recognition of self agency rooted strongly in safety.

    David Mettille:

David Mettille serves as the Narrative Resilience Director, where he is building power for our people through a multidisciplinary approach that includes design, implementation, and coordination of community-rooted strategies that support systemic resilience in Wisconsin. As a Queer man, adoptive foster parent, and former elected official, he is a leader with a strong intersectional lens who brings an unparalleled synthesis of messaging skills, design savvy, and instinct to his work. With 20 years of organizing, communications, and basebuilding experience, David stands at the intersection of democracy, narrative change, and systems strategy. He is committed to community-based approaches that build power grounded in shared identity, common values, collective struggles, and redefined justice.
