Advocate Health (Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care) Faith and Health Partnerships invites residents of Illinois & Wisconsin and Atrium Health Care service areas to participate in a virtual education series designed to equip faith community leaders to walk alongside each other during times of challenge and stress.

This learning cohort equips you to:

  • Build relationships in response to isolation and suffering

  • Explore the intersection between trauma, faith, and healing

  • Gather valuable resources that nurture care for yourself and others

Cohort training sessions will happen virtually over Zoom. To graduate, cohort participants are required to attend all training sessions. Please note the dates, times, and descriptions of all three sessions below.

  • Companionship Training - March 11th, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

  • Trauma, Faith, & Healing Training - April 15th, 9:00 am to 11:30 am

  • Self-Care for Faith Leaders (Includes New Beginnings Support Session) - May 13th, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Mental Health First Aid (Additional Option)

NEW FOR 2026: Please note that being certified in Mental Health First Aid is recommended and can be offered to participants as an additional supplemental session. More details will be provided during the pre-enrollment conversation.

Grant Opportunity: Companion graduates may be eligible to apply for a microgrant for up to $1,000 to implement a mental health program in your congregation or faith community (some restrictions apply)
