The Wisconsin Council of Churches is excited to partner with First United Methodist Church in Madison to welcome Dave Galston for the Lyons Lecture on January 30, 2021.
David Galston is the Executive Director of the Westar Institute which originated the Jesus Seminars. Galston is an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at Brock University. He is the author of God’s Human Future (Polebridge, 2016), Embracing the Human Jesus (Polebridge Press, 2012), and Archives and the Event of God (McGill-Queens Press, 2011). David holds a Ph.D. in the Philosophy of Religion from McGill University.

| This virtual event starts at 10:00 am with the first lecture, and the second lecture begins at 1:30 pm. The event includes two virtual lectures, and two Zoom question and answer sessions. The Q&A sessions, via Zoom, are at 11:00 am and 2:30 pm. Click here to register! Because the lecture is virtual this year, the registration fee will be $25. Technical information: Before the event, those who are registered will receive information about how to access the lectures and Q&A sessions. We will make the lecture videos available in the days before the actual event, so that you have time to watch and send in your questions, but we will also be accepting some questions during the live Q&A session. |
