Presenter: Wes Granberg-Michaelson

Date:October 8 at 1 pm Central on Zoom

Preaching and teaching in an election year can be fraught with minefields. Our commitment to preach the Gospel and offer a moral framework for engaging the world exists within a highly polarized society. We need to be aware of legal “yeses and nos” as well as pastoral considerations. Our scope for action and speech is broader than we think, but we need to be clear on what the boundaries are.

Join us for a conversation about navigating church life in these next few weeks before the November 2020 election, and the time following. We’ll discuss:
-Placing electoral issues within a biblical/theological framework
-Our ability to address important issues of our time
-Legal issues for churches and church leaders
