Allies in Advocacy

Do you identify as an advocate? Every person in your church and community has a story. You probably have one of your own. Are there people using the food pantries and clothing closets in your community, struggling to get by, whose voices aren’t being heard? What of the land, the water? What about the children? What of their stories? How might we share these truths, helping them be heard in the halls of power?

Part of the justice commitment of the Wisconsin Council of Churches is to help bring those stories to our public officials to inform the development of just policies and a moral budget. We want to be your ally in advocacy, equipping you to engage your neighbor, speak from a place of groundedness as a faith leader, and act in strategic ways so you can have impact on important issues.

Join us for two upcoming events that will help you grow as an advocate!
