Do you have a hard time gathering enough youth for a viable youth group? Do you have colleagues in your city with similar struggles? Do you wonder where the Holy Spirit might be calling you to meet the faith needs of youth in your community?
Many of our rural, urban, and small churches struggle to gather enough youth to run a youth ministry. Five churches in Port Washington and Saukville faced a similar dilemma and so the Lighthouse Youth Ministry was born. Living Hope Lutheran (ELCA), Christ The King Lutheran (ELCA), Parkside Community UCC, Grand Avenue UMC, and First Congregational Church UCC joined together to meet the needs of their youth and their community. This has evolved to leasing and remodeling a shared Youth ministry headquarters in a building downtown in Port Washington and even the beginnings of an adult program (L.A.M.P. – Lighthouse Adult Ministry Program).
Join Rev. Kelly Nieman Anderson and other pastors from Port Washington and Saukville on October 30th at 12:00pm for a free 1 hour webinar to learn best practices of an ecumenical youth ministry. We will discuss how to frame the vision to local churches and logistics of structuring the ministry, learned by Lighthouse Youth Ministry through both their successes and failures. The webinar will include time for questions and answers from participants. The webinar will be recorded and available for those who are unable to make the live broadcast.
