70th Anniversary Dinner

Looking Back While Looking Forward

Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the
Wisconsin Council of Churches

Welcome celebration for the new Executive Director,
The Reverend Kerri Parker

We’re throwing a party on December 4th, and hope you can make it!

You’re invited!

The Wisconsin Council of Churches is celebrating its 70th Anniversary by hosting a dinner for our dear friends and supporters on Monday, December 4th at Sarento’s, 441 Wisconsin Dells Parkway South, Wisconsin Dells.

We’re celebrating our past. The Council has been blessed to provide vital ecumenical witness in Wisconsin for 70 years with great leadership and commitment from our member churches and people like you. Come help us reminisce about those defining moments in our history that have helped to make the Wisconsin Council of Churches what it is today.

We’re celebrating our future. Anniversaries are never just about yesterday. As the Council embarks on a new and critical chapter in its ministry, we are thrilled to welcome our new Executive Director, Rev. Kerri Parker. Rev. Parker brings a passion and creative spirit that will help the Council reach new levels of impact while addressing present and emerging needs of the church, our communities and the state.

We’re delighted that Kathryn Lohre, ELCA Executive for Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations will be joining us as guest speaker for our 70th anniversary dinner!

From 2012-2013 she served as president of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA, as the first Lutheran and the youngest woman. Previously she served as assistant director of the Pluralism Project at Harvard University, a premier research project on religious diversity in the United States. Kathryn received her Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School in 2003. In May 2011, the Graduate Theological Foundation, Mishawaka, IN, conferred an honorary Doctor of Divinity to Kathryn, “in recognition of her contributions to women’s interfaith issues and pluralism.”
