Be a Poll Chaplain this November

The Poll Chaplain program for 2022 has concluded.  If you would be interested in serving for a future election, please send an email to info@interfaithvotewi.org.

Be a Poll Chaplain this November

As you may know, the goal of WIVEC is to engage the interfaith community in the democratic process. It is our belief that engaging in this work will build increased understanding and stronger ties among different faith communities; increase engagement in the electoral process; and result in a greater understanding by faith communities of the influential role they can play in the public square.

As we did in 2020, WIVEC is once again looking to train clergy as volunteer Poll Chaplains to provide a pastoral presence for those waiting outside of polling places this November 8.  Poll chaplains can provide spiritual care, a peaceful presence, and a calming influence at the polling place.  WIVEC is partnering with Faith in Public Life to provide training to prepare clergy to engage in this work.

Once we have confirmed and finalized our training dates, we will email those clergy leaders who are interested.

Thank you for your support of this poll chaplain program.  We look forward to a safe and secure November election thanks to our dedicated WIVEC volunteers.
