In the midst of chaos we wonder how to root ourselves and find peace. Sometimes, one of the best strategies we have is to turn to traditions that have held together the Christian community throughout the many trials of life.

As we continue to navigate the new contexts of life during the COVID-19 pandemic, WCC has begun looking at the traditions represented within our member bodies to help us find resources for life, community, and connecting with God. One tradition represented at WCC is Benedictine spirituality. The Benedictine Women of Madison who live and work at Holy Wisdom Monastery shared with us resources for both individual and small group use from their tradition that can enliven our faith communities.

Rev. Nancy Enderle a Co-Director, Ecumenical Center for Clergy Spiritual Renewal at Holy Wisdom Monastery offers the Circle Practice, a contemplative refection exercise that can be used for small group reflection as people process grief, the complexities of the pandemic, and more during this time.
