Death Penalty Dialogues
The Wisconsin Council of Churches has begun a statewide mission to encourage faith-based reflection on the death penalty. It has organized a cadre of more than 30 trained leaders-including retired pastors and bishops, parish clergy, lay leaders, and prison chaplains. They are available to lead discussion in youth or adult forums, church school classes, denominational gatherings, local or regional ecumenical groups or other appropriate settings. They will also share printed resources and video, which will subsequently be available for discussion participant use. Costs for this program are funded through a special project of the Wisconsin Council of Churches.
